We left the Dataran at around 1740h and are now on our way to the King's Palace.
Notice the bigger guardhouse at the side?
Those are actually for the horses which are stationed there in the mornings and early afternoons.
Pity we could not come earlier as Aiken loved horses.

TUGU NEGARA means National Monument.
The Malaysian National Monument, commemorates the struggle to resist Communist aggression in the 1950s and early 60s.

The massive sculpture honors the memory of those who gave their life in the battle and is one of the largest freestanding bronze sculptures in the world.
Tugu Negara mirrors precisely the famous monument depicting the fall of Iwo Jima.
