It is about 20mins from Sofitel Macau to Venetian. Actually, you can save $$$ by taking the free shuttle bus from Sofitel Macau to the Ferry Terminal and transfer to the Venetian shuttle.
In Macau, all the major casino/hotels provide free shuttle service from the ferry terminal.
But we were too lazy and opted for a cab direct to Venetian from our hotel.

Check out the ceiling paintings at the lobby of the Venetian.
This is only the area where the cabs and shuttle buses drop off their customers.

One of the lobby of the Venetian. I had thought that this is the main lobby.
I was wrong when I came again through another lobby which was crowded with pple.

The marvellous ceiling painting which never seems to end.

Walking around trying to figure out how to get to the Grand Canel Shoppes.
Took this pic from the outside of Venetian before going in away to look for the linkway.

Found the escalator which led us to the linkway going to the Grand Canel Shoppes.
It was at the side of the hotel lobby area.
It really feels like Vernice when you first enter the area. The singing from the boatman of the Gondolas and look/feel of the buildings.

Here's Aiken in his meditation pose for the camera.

A closeup on the Gondola which goes around the canals in the Grand Canal Shoppes.

Bridges which run through various sections of the canal within the shopping area.
