On our way to the Seine Cruise, we passed by the Arc de Triomphe. The Arc was finished in 1836. The Arc de Triomphe keeps the memory of all the dead killed in World War I (1914/1918) with the grave of the unknown soldier and a permanently burning flame of remembrance.

Along the Seine river, we can see quite a number of famous landmarks and buildings. One of them is the Orsay Museum. This magnificent museum, located in the old Orsay railway station built in 1900, is dedicated to all forms of artistic expression in the 1848-1914 period.
