Next stop, Jiufen old street. Quite a lot of interesting items here for sale which you dun find elsewhere.

If this was the weekday crowd, I cannot imagine how the weekend one will look like....

Grabbed a quick lunch at this small eatery beside the street.

We had braised meat rice, egg, drunken chicken and sotong ball soup. Generally ok. Nothing to shout about.

The Mrs trying the Yam Croissant. Quite nice but a bit hard to eat, messy with all the yam paste flowing.

The lady whom is an attraction on her own. She sells black pork sausages. Her stall was blasting the PPAP song...

Check out the view...I really would like to retire in one of the houses here. So tranquil and peaceful, less the tourist?

One of the many teahouses in the area. Fantastic view.

Say cheese...

House of Horror (Masks)?

Bought some stuff from this shop selling lucky japanese cats. Seems like most of the shop owners here know some basic jap. Most of the Taiwan tourists come from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Japan. Oh..PRCs also..

One of the scenes from the movie "Spirited Away". Messy jam here as people are trying to take wefies, etc and large number of Japanese tourists coming up the stairs too..this concludes our visit to Jiufen. I booked the same cab driver to bring us back to Taipei XMD as the queue for the bus is crazy at this timing.
