Went for a Yarra river cruise today.
It is a one hour long cruise.
The boat will go down the Yarra river and back up again. This is a good way to see the sights beside the Yarra river, similar to our Singapore river nearer to Raffles Place.

One interesting thing to note though.
You must lower your head or body when you go under those low bridges, such as the Kings Bridge in the photo or your head might get hit.
Hehehe....

Construction going on beside the Yarra river.
A contrast from the city view.

1305h (MEL TIME)

Some boats docked along the Yarra river.

We made our way to the Dandenong Ranges (Sherbrooke Forest), the heart of the Dandenongs; tall eucalypts, kookaburras and bellbirds.

1505h (MEL TIME)

There is a small hut with cafe and souvenirs for sale at Sherbrooke Forest.
You can grab a snack here or get some souvenirs to bring back home.

All around the Dandenongs are tall, straight "mountain ash" trees.
These are a type of hardwood.
An interesting thing about these trees are that they have very smooth and straight trunks.
You must see to believe.
