Today, we are going to Jiufen and Shifen (worried about the pending Typhoon Haima which will hit Taiwan on Thurs/Fri) thus making the trip to Jiufen/Shifen earlier. To get there, we have to take a train (read, train not metro) to Ruifang station and either book a cab or change train to Pingxi line.

1225h (TW TIME) Got the right tickets but boarded the wrong train, wrong timing at the right platform...haha.

Dropped off at the next station to wait for the 1241hr train which should be the right train instead.

Check out the old school train at the other platform. It is about 50mins to Ruifang.

I like the name of this station, Baifu which means 100 blessings.

Heard horror stories about standing all the way to Ruifang station, lucky for us, we were in quite an empty train all the way to Ruifang.

1325h (TW TIME) Reached Ruifang about an hour later. It was raining....sian!!!

Took the underpass to get to the other side of Ruifang station where the taxi/bus stops are at.

That's the taxi stand where we can book packages to Jiufen/Shifen etc.

Interior of the train station, we were there to use the toilets..hehe. As trains to Pingxi/Shifen comes every 50mins, you will need to time it well..

1335h (TW TIME) Small town of Ruifang. If you are taking the bus to Jiufen, turn left after the taxi stand and walk straight up for 50 meters.
