1405h (BKK TIME) First stop was Shifen waterfall. The cab dropped us at the back entrance to the waterfall. Love this license plate.

A small eatery and shop at the "entrance" to the waterfall. The driver was telling me that it will take about 20mins if you walk from Shifen !!!

1413h (TW TIME) Qilins at the grounds of the waterfall. There is also a souvenir shop and eatery here.

Quite cool and majestic. Would have stayed longer if not for the rain..

There is a track which runs parallel to the bridge for the Pingxi train line.

1445h (TW TIME) Next stop, Shifen to release sky lanterns. Was worried that if the rain is too heavy, we would not be able to release the lanterns.

Somehow, due to the rain and crowd outside, we were the only group allowed to write our wishes on the lantern in the aircon comfort of the shop. Here's my boy writing his wishes for his PSLE results.

All ready to release our lantern. It was pouring!!! The shop helper was very experienced and helped us took quite a few nice photos and video clip.

We have lift off!!!
